Although Chris was in the year above me at Burton Grammar School, we shared a passion for guitar playing and we would play together. A few years ago, I found Chris via the BGS Facebook page and we met up in York before Xmas a couple of times when we stayed with our friends Paul and Diane. We had hoped to do the same in 2023, but we were in Oz and NZ from Oct to Dec and we couldn’t make it to York. A true gentleman.

Thank you for setting up this memorial to Christopher. We hope that you find it a positive experience developing the site and that it becomes a place of comfort and inspiration for you to visit whenever you want or need to.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
